First Snow!

Today was the first real snow of the year! I remembered from last year that I get to eat snow out of my tea cups, so Mommy and I bundled up and went out to get some! New boots and hat, I was set!

It's so good!
Last year, Daddy put blue food coloring in the snow. Dad says the homemade blue snow is ok, but not the yellow snow outside! I'm ready for a steady diet of snow this winter; but don't worry, it's a low calorie snack :)

All Kinds of Fun

All dressed in my Halloween finest! Moose and I are feeding my dogs. Moose wasn't very happy about it. I even allowed a bow in my hair!
Helping Dad in his truck.

Pumpkin patch! We took a hayrack ride to the patch and I picked out my very own pumpkin. Then we petted some goats and spent time looking at the baby pigs. My favorite thing to watch was the chickens.

It was a Halloween-themed story time at the library this morning and we got to wear our costumes! Here I am in my kitty costume, with my pumpkins! Mommy carved the Herbie pumpkin and Daddy carved the "bung bung" pumpkin (it means bunny).

Daddy's getting ready to make a ski bench out of some old skis. I helped him take the bindings off with my pink screwdriver.

We had visitors Sunday morning! A mommy moose and 2 calves were out in our back yard munching on some of the trees. The mommy was huge! Her back was at least to the top of a car.

Wildlife viewing from the patio.

Fingerpainting! On one of the last nice days, Mommy and I finger painted. Here's Moose looking through the window at a picture of Herbie we painted. I did the treats!

It was a good thing Mommy put me in old clothes. I wiped the paint on my clothes instead of the wash towel.

Fall Photo Session

We went to one of our favorite trails that has a nice aspen grove and took some pictures. Here are some of our favorites!

I was calling for a SQUIRREL!

Check out those eyelashes! I got them from Mommy, and Mommy got them from Grandpa!

Look! There's actually a bow in my hair. Ok, so it only lasted for about 4 minutes, but still, it was there.

Squirrel goes on all of our outdoor adventures with us. He got hungry so I found him some berries for his snack.

September Fun and Daddy's Golf Course

Fall is here and with that, fall clothes! Chicka-rica is high fashion! Here I am going "shopping" just like Mommy does. I have my list, my wallet, my baby, the groceries and something tasty to drink while I run my errands around the house. Anytime I grab my purse and say bye to Mommy, she asks me where I'm going. My response - "erbie," as in off to Grandma's to see Herbie.

We went to Ousel Falls with our friends Amy and Kira while our daddys played golf. Kira is my friend in Bozeman and we like to play together.

Out to the golf course for a fall tour. Gotta bundle up, it's cold! You can't see it, but there was snow on the peaks.

Me and Daddy on his John Deere gator. I sit on Mommy's lap and we hold on tight! My favorite part of going to the golf course is looking for golf balls. I tend to gather things!

This is a few weeks later and it's back to nice fall weather. Squirrel got to come on this golf course visit. He and I both found golf balls! The best part of this picture - even though you can't see it - is that my shirt and pants have squirrels on them (they have the best stuff at Target!) I wear the outfit at least once a week.

Crazy hair!!!

When Daddy comes home after work, he tells me about the animals he saw at the golf course, usually elk and mule deer. I've seen them and they have big ears so every time we talk about them, I pull at my ears! These antlers are what they use for tee markers at the golf course - I'd look funny if they were my real ears!

Late in September, we woke up and found our barbecue grill off the patio. Mommy picked it up and we discovered that a BEAR had nose it off trying to get to the grease pan. It got it alright! You can see the claw marks in the grease. Those bears have to eat lots before their long winter nap, but not off our patio! Anytime we talk about bears now, I always say "NO!"
