Steamboat Christmas--The Big Finale!

As you can see, Christmas was an exhausting week of great fun! Mommy & Daddy & I left on Christmas night to head back to Montana. We got snowed in for a while in a place called Buffalo, Wyoming...a long ways from home. Not sure why buffaloes would want to live there as the wind and snow were so bad that no one was allowed to travel. We finally made it back to Big Sky on Saturday, the 27th. Boy, was I glad to get to sleep in my own crib for a change. It was a WONDERFUL week in Steamboat with Grandma & Grandpa & Uncle Jeff. We are hoping to do it again next year!!!

Here I am with my new best friend, George Monkey. Some of you may recognize him as "Curious George" from the book series, but I just like to call him George Monkey. I hope to introduce him to my other jungle friends in my room when I get home.

Here I am on Christmas Day in my "Tribute to Santa" outfit. What a nice guy Santa is!

Who needs a professional stylist when I have Aunt Michalea, Grandma and Great-Grandma? My wardrobe is set for the next six months. Lot of pink; lot of pink....but I DO pink so well. Here's a little purple number in this picture that I like as well. Dressing to the nines is so easy when you have "people" to shop for you....what a pile I took home!

My shirt says it all... I love Santa. What's not to like about the guy? He's pretty darn generous!

Just call me Reggae Girl! Uncle Jeff put his ski hat on me with the black braids and said that I looked like someone from Jamica...maaaaaan!
Mommy & Grandma took turns skiing every-other-day. Here I am in the kitchen helping Grandma cook. I love those plastic measuring spoons she gave me to play with. Look out Iron Chef....someday......
Here's Mommy & me at a restaurant one night in Steamboat.

Steamboat Christmas - Snow Photos

Here I am with Uncle Jeff again. He and my daddy are really good skiers...I hope someday I can ski with them....but I have to learn to walk first.

Here I am with Mommy & Daddy on top of the mountain. It was a sunny day with no wind, so it was perfect for a little "snow photo."

At age 17 weeks, I took my first ride in a gondola! Mommy & I went way up high onto the mountain where we met the rest of the family and had lunch and our pictures taken. Like my shades? It's so bright with all the snow, that I have to wear them. Very chic!

Steamboat Christmas--Pool's Open & Santa

Whoa....I almost forgot to show you this picture of me, Grandma and Santa. I heard Santa and Grandma talking about lists and presents, but they were whispering, so I really don't know what that was all about. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Here I am with Uncle Jeff and his dog, Harrison. Harrison is a VERY gentle Labrador and goes with Uncle Jeff everytime he comes to Steamboat. Harrison sniffed me a little, but really didn't have a lot of interest in becoming friends. It was funny though, he seemed to know that he had to be very careful when he walked around me. He even let me tug on his fur and ears sometimes.
Uncle Jeff and I came back from the pool and he held me while after I got dressed and all warmed up. He's really tall, so I get to see a lot more things from this vantage point.
Low & behold, when Grandma whisked me inside the club house after the pool, who was there?....but Santa! Such timing!
Here I am for the first time in the pool. (It was very warm). However, I screamed pretty loud, so I only stayed in a little bit, before Grandma swooped me up in warm towels.
And here's Mommy, Daddy, & me in our robes ready to head to the pool. Mommy & Daddy spent a great day on the slopes, while Grandma Judy and I hung out together the whole day. We had fun and I took great naps.
Here's Daddy & I on our way to the pool at the condominium where we stayed this past week in Steamboat. We all have these spiffy white robes; I brought my own naturally.

Meeting Santa

Well I finally met this guy everybody is talking about....Santa...er...Mr. Claus. I guess he's okay. I wasn't overly impressed but I didn't cry either...so that's good. Anyway, something about documenting my first visit with Santa for my first Christmas. Whatever keeps everyone happy and smiling....I'm happy to oblige as long as I get what I want!

It's almost time!

Merry Christmas to everyone. In case you still wonder why we all live in Montana, just take a look at the beautiful scene behind us and the smiles on our faces. Contentment.

I'm thinking I'm pretty set for this Christmas event if the words on my shirt hold true: Whatever Santa doesn't bring...Grandma will! Works for me!

Mom's been putting me in all these red & white outfits for some reason. And who's this guy with the red hat and the white beard? He's on a lot of my outfits. Have we met?

Red & White & wondering...

Hmmmmmmm.....what should I ask Santa for this year? Decisions, decisions, decisions.......

Here I am on a recent Saturday morning snuggling in Mommy & Daddy's BIG bed. I can't wait to be able to jump in with them and watch Saturday morning cartoons.

One day this past week, Daddy put my kitty, Moose in my Jungle Car. Moose can't drive my Jungle Car! What was Daddy thinking? It's okay; he didn't stay long.

New toys and My First Christmas Tree

The weekend after Thanksgiving, I went with Mommy and Daddy up to the mountain to cut down our Christmas tree. I kept nice and warm in my pink snow suit and loved being outside. We took the tree home and Mommy put some pretty things on the tree. I don't quite get the concept yet of a Christmas tree, but everyone says by next year, I'll understand Christmas ALOT!

Here's Mommy and I in our pink robes. Nothing better than snugglin' in robes after breakfast on the weekends. Pink is our favorite color!

Life is good when you can look around and see all the people that love you! Here I am with Mommy in the kitchen.

Here I am having a "conference" with my jungle friends. I'm learning how to sit in my new Bumbo Seat....that's Bumbo, not Dumbo. I think I've got all my jungle friend's attention at this conference. I'm sure we're discussing the economy, bail outs, year-end-tax issues and other important topics.

This stuff on my new toy is so fascinating!

Check out my new Jungle Saucer! Isn't it the coolest thing? I really like looking and touching all the things that surround me. I can sit or bounce up and down as much as I want. Great toy...thanks Mommy & Daddy!

Just Chillin' in Montana!

At LAST!! I've finally grown enough to fit into my chic blue jeans that have been waiting for me in the drawer. As you can see, I've selected the stone-washed denim for this fall season. We're getting ready at my house for Thanksgiving dinner. Mommy is cooking tons of things for dinner on Thursday. Our good friends, Steph & Taylor are coming for Thanksgiving Day and I can't wait, as I like Steph a lot...she's a kindergarten teacher and loves little kids...like me!

Here's Mommy and me just chillin' on the couch this week. Sometimes there's just not a lot going on when you're three months old, so we chill at night when Daddy gets home. Here I am right after a nice bath and warm bottle. Does life get better than when you have jammie time?

Life is just a bowl of cherries and that's what fashion statement I'm making today. Grandma Judy's friend Amy sent this outfit and I really like it! I'm pretty happy today....I'm full, I'm dry, rested and waiting for another day of adventure.

More hats, Brother Moose & Nakie Me!

For all you fashionistas, you know that brown and pink have been a big hit all year long. Well, here I am in one of the latest fashion trends for babies I guess. And of course, another dumb hat! My Mommy has this thing about all these hats and apparently I must have a whole draw-full of hats, because Mommy keeps bringing them out one-by-one and putting them on me. This little crocheted number fits my round little head pretty good....and I didn't even scream about this one. Not worth it anymore. Mom always wins.

Here I am with my big Brother Moose. He's not real crazy about me laying on him, but then again, he doesn't seem to mind. For all you non-cat people reading this: don't panic. Moose doesn't have claws and Daddy is standing right over me.....Moose is a good big brother.

It's a big night at home here in Big Sky, MT. This is me; stretchin' and kickin' and just growing like a weed. Ever meet a baby that didn't like to be nakie?

Just Chillin' & A Hat Battle with Mom....

Yep...Mommy won the battle about the hat. Okay, so it's cute after all. Geesh!
Okay....so this is proof that I'm not always a happy baby. I really didn't want to put this dumb hat on, but Mommy says I have to wear a hat at all times because it's already cold here in Montana. I am thoroughly ticked off about wearing this hat, (even though it comes with matching mittens and is a chic fashion accessory)....but guess who won? Mom did. Wonder if we'll have battles about fashion as I get older?

Here I am just chillin' on my changing pad. I'm really starting to coo & "talk" alot to Mommy. Not sure what I say; but she seems to get giddy about it.

Daddy Scores a Big Elk!

For those of you who have never been to Big Sky Country where we all live, this is a picture of one of the things that goes on here. Men, brave and strong like my Daddy, go hunting for big game. Here's my daddy with the elk he shot on Wednesday, November 5th, not too far from where we live. It weighed between 300-400 pounds and he was so excited! Mommy says that we're going to have a freezer full of meat for the winter. I don't eat meat yet, just yum-yums from Mommy, but they say it's really lean and tender if it's cooked right....and tastes a lot like beef. Delicious I guess....I'm sticking with my bottle for now! There's 10" of snow on this part of the mountain already, so winter is in full force in Big Sky Country.

Halloween & Early November

This is my "glamour girl" pose.....my neck is getting stronger and the world sure looks better when you can hold your head up and look around! I'm getting bigger and longer all the time.

They say I look like a movie star in these glasses, but really....Mommy ordered these because the glasses will protect my little eyes from the reflection from the snow. It is so bright here in Montana....that's what happens when you live so close to heaven! It's beautiful here when it snows.

Here's my mommy and me in our orange outfits on Halloween. Mommy says she didn't have any hair when she was my age either, so I'm hoping that some day, I have pretty hair like she does. Notice my cat-brother ontop of the chair. Moose likes me; but Rocky likes me more!

Here I am all decked out for Halloween. Still don't quite get this holiday, but everyone says I'm cute in all these orange clothes. Whatever it takes to keep these people happy, I guess!

Here are Mommy, Daddy & me on a recent hike. We all like to be outdoors together.

Who knew? I just saw these things called feet and find them to be positively amazing. Wonder how long those feet things have been attached to the bottom of my legs?

Laugh it up......

Laugh it up! Laugh it up! Look at this silly little pumpkin hat Mommy put on me today before we went to work. Grandpa Marty bought it for me when I was first born and I've finally grown into it. I guess the adults in my life find silly hats like this pretty humorous; and for now, I'll let it go. But someday, I'm going to have a vocal opinion about wearing this stuff!

Lions & Tigers & Bears....Oh No!

Here I am smiling the day after the scary bear-incident. My little smile practically sends my Mommy and Daddy over the edge with delight! Who knew such a simple thing could get such a reaction. I love my Mommy & Daddy sooooooo much so it's easy to smile at them.

One night this week when Mommy was up feeding me, she heard a lot of commotion on the patio. When she looked out the window, she saw a Mama Bear & a Baby Bear tipping over our BBQ-grill! She woke Daddy up and he went out into the commons area of our condo and saw the late night visitors staring back at him. Oh no! Luckily I was safe inside and the bear family left.
